No membership, no fight-gym intimidation, just a waiver to sign. Pressure Gym is launching a free monthly boxing series called Pressure Boxing Club, kicking off September 26 at 8:30 am at Padel39, 4716 E. 5th St.

Organizers say they expect 50 to 100 people for the first session, which runs 8:30-10 am and asks attendees to arrive early. Each session includes three workout stations covering boxing fundamentals along with HIIT and plyometrics. Pressure Gym founder Shane Keefe said the goal is to make a first boxing experience "welcoming, social and fun" without skipping real training basics. The press release compares the format to run club.

The first event includes some giveaways for three attendees: gloves and hand wraps from Poztev Martial Arts, 21 meals from My Fit Foods, a blood panel from GameDay Men's Health, and a month of peptides pending consultation. Other sponsors include C4 Energy and SweatPals. The gym is also partnering with the Texas Boxing Club at UT, lending space and training support, so expect a campus contingent.

Attendance requires filling out a registration and waiver in advance.

Pressure Gym itself also offers regular boxing and kickboxing classes for beginners through professional fighters, with a stated focus on welcoming women and newcomers.
