The Big Picture

Life is a catalogue you can accidentally buy into, and on Oct. 3 En Gold is handing Austinites the glossy pages in person. The Australian furniture brand opens a lifestyle store at 1632 S. First St., positioning the Austin location as its U.S. hub and a place to sell furniture plus curated pottery, ceramics, candles, incense, vintage pieces and artworks by Denise Quah and White on Walls.

This is not a generic showroom: the brand markets the space as "small, intimate" and meant for connecting with locals while showcasing seasonal collections built from materials like stone, timber, rattan and raffia palm.
